thinkpad x61 thermal

One of my best friends got a FLIR IR camera, imagemagick says it is a FLIR E4, in real it is a E8, which I could use to take some IR pictures of my thinkpad x61, Release Date 01/2008.


The position of the wireless miniPCI card is easy to find, it becomes very hot. There is a mysterious cold area between the keys I and O which I could not explain yet. The display controller becomes also very hot, I become afraid using it. The battery charged during the measures but it seems cool.

running time echo "scale=4000; a(1)*4" | bc -l the CPU temp increases. The new heatpipe I built in some years ago seems working fine.
